Sue and Claire have been busy making special chocolates for all their customers who would love to surprise the special person in their live. The chocolates vary from pretty little slabs in the shape of  Angels sitting in a garden of flowers, in a 75% single origin Chocolate from Tanzania. Lip and heart shaped chocolates filled with either Rose or Violet fondant the shell being made again from the 75% Tazanian chocolate.

We also have large lips embossed with Kiss Me hand tinted with natural red chocolate in stick packs with chocolate hearts, a gift to melt any heart.

Other melt in the mouth chocolates we are making for St.Valentine’s Day are Soft caramels in the shape of double hearts and cupids with bow and arrow again tinted with natural red chocolate.

We also have a beautiful hand made Cherib holding a Heart, which is made using a special mould, the chocolate heart is hand tinted with natural red chocolate, we will be producing variations on this theme.

Other options for your loved one also include our indulgent, very popular  ’Death by Chocolate Cake’, which can be ordered in a heart shape, decorated with an thick layer of chocolate ganache and hand piped chocolate hearts, in your choice of White, Milk or Dark chocolate.

After what proved to be a very busy Christmas, we are now in the quieter period of January, but that hasn’t stop the work on our next important season.
We closed for a few days well deserved rest allowing us to remove the Christmas decorations, do stock taking and plan for St. Valentines Day.

Our website now has photographs of our own products which we have been making since we opened on 17th August 2009. Over the coming months we will add a photograph gallery of our wide range of handmade specialist chocolates and beautiful  pâtisserie.

St. Valentines Day  products will include handmade Cupids that stand about 12 inches high, hand pipped hearts in various sizes delicately brushed with edible gold dust, moulded chocolates decorated with red with tiny cupids and hearts.

We also will have our famous Death by Chocolate cake available to purchase in the shape of a  heart.

So if you want to surprise your loved one, why don’t you pop into the shop on 4 Esplanade, Ryde, Isle of Wight  and talk to us about that special gift for Lovers.

It has been a very busy first three months for all the staff at the Chocolate Apothecary
with the tail end of the summer season boosting our presence in Ryde, and generally across the Isle of Wight.

Sue and her team have been striving to get the perfect balance with wonderful chocolates and a fabulous range of in house cakes, with organic teas and coffees.
